Welcome

CIOS F255 - University of Alaska Fairbanks

Ahoy Students  and welcome to Microcomputer (Digital) Graphics: Adobe Photoshop!

Photoshop is the leading application for creating digital graphics for print and web application. In this introductory course, we will work on many different projects using Photoshop. The concepts we cover will range from basic to advanced, from basic editing to complex compositing and 3D creation.  At the end of the course, students will have completed at least 14 projects, some of which could be presented  as part of a portfolio for potential employment or creative endeavors.

While no previous experience is necessary, starting with  a basic level of comfort using computers is extremely helpful.  It is also not necessary to be a photographer or use your own photos but doing so is encouraged.
